Parent company

Today, LAG Trailers is a major manufacturer of tank trailers and intermodal transport equipment. Originally founded in 1947 by brothers Lambert and Arnold Geusens, the company was taken over by the van der Burg family in 1996 and subsequently sold to CIMC in 2007.

Parent company CIMC is a well-known global player in the container, semi-trailer and tanker industry. Within the CIMC organisation, LAG Trailers is an example and benchmark for innovation, modular development and continuous focus on improving (production) processes. In cooperation with CIMC and with its support, LAG Trailers is following its own mission and vision as it moves into the future.

CIMC Group is a global company and the world's largest manufacturer of industrial vehicles. Its companies and employees are located all over the world, while CIMC's suppliers are also global players. As a leading trailer manufacturer, our strategic goal is 'to provide reliable, high-quality transport equipment for the entire world'.

CIMC's main activity is the manufacture and sale of semi-trailers and superstructures for specialised vehicles. Its production lines mainly include chassis, platform trailers, tank trailers, refrigerated trailers and flatbed trailers. In addition, the superstructure products also include tipper bodies, mixers for mixer semi-trailers and other superstructures for specialised vehicles.

We sell our wide range of products in China, North America, Europe and other regions, covering more than 40 countries. Our products are branded in China as CIMC, CIMC Tonghua, CIMC Huajun, Ruijiang Vehicles, Dongyue Vehicles and Lingyu Vehicles. Outside of China, we are known under the brand names CIMC, Vanguard, SDC and LAG.

CIMC Vehicle

CIMC Vehicles, one of the divisions within the CIMC Group, was established in 2002. This division focuses on transport and industrial vehicles. Since 2015, LAG Trailers has been integrated into the division, and LAG is a fundamental part of the production of tank trailers.
